The one jingle on the radio and television advertisement I will always remember is NST Law! It goes a little something like, "NST is the way to go, call 683-7000!" I remember hearing this jingle when I was younger. It would come on during the commercial break for WREG 10:00 news. I would be riding in the car and their radio advertisement played during every commercial break it seemed. I also saw NST on billboards all the time! It seemed everywhere I was, they were! I think this jingle is forever stuck in my head because twelve years later, they use the same jingle. I do not know if this was a marketing tactic, but it worked on keeping NST relevant. I will randomly start singing the jingle, and someone else will join in on it, it's like we lived the same childhood. The area of the brain responsible for this is the hippocampus. It is responsible for core memories. The nostalgia response I get from hearing the jingle, comes from my limbic system. The limbic system is our emotional response. As I was trying to write this blog, I kept singing this jingle in my head. I will forever have this jingle stuck in my head and have no shame in randomly busting it out! Who knows I might them one day and I basically have their number on speed dial!
